Former Vol Grant Williams and the Celtics defeated Utah, 122-114, Friday at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
Williams did not start and played 17 minutes for Boston. He totaled 13 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Williams was 5-for-6 from the field and 3-for-4 in 3-point attempts.
Boston (34-24) is leading the Atlantic Division and is second in the Eastern Conference.
Williams played for the Vols from 2016-19. He left Tennessee following his junior season.
Williams was a two-time SEC Player of the Year before being selected by the Celtics in the first round of the 2019 NBA draft. He was the No. 22 overall selection.
