The 2022-23 regular season is over and that means the season award races are over. Everybody has put in the work and made their case across the 82-game season, and it’s time for voters to make their choices.
Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid appears to be the front-runner this time for MVP. The big fella led the league in scoring for the second straight season, 33.1 points per game, while shooting 54.8% from the floor. He also averaged 10.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists. After finishing as the runner-up for MVP in each of the previous two seasons, the award seems like it’s his this time around.
Brooklyn Nets guard Mikal Bridges is among those who believe Embiid should win the award after such a dominant season on the floor.
