Michael Malone continues to complain about media coverage of the Lakers

The Denver Nuggets have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they’re the best team in the Western Conference and possibly the entire world.

They had the best record in the conference during the regular season, and on Monday they completed a sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers to reach the NBA Finals for the first time ever.

Yet Michael Malone, their head coach, has been complaining that his team hasn’t gotten enough credit from the media since the series started. He complained that the media was talking about how the Lakers were in good shape after their narrow Game 1 loss, and he was at it again on Saturday, days after his team concluded matters.

According to Malone, the media is still talking more about L.A. than it is about his team and not giving his team enough recognition for getting this far.

Never mind that the vast majority of the national media picked Denver to win the series before it even started and has pegged it as the favorite to defeat whoever comes out of the Eastern Conference to win the world championship.
