The Arkansas class of 2024 basketball recruiting class finally has a commitment.
Jalen Shelley, a 6-foot-8 forward out of Frisco (Tx.) gave his pledge to Eric Musselman and the Razorbacks Monday. Shelley made the announcement on social media, selecting Arkansas over schools like Louisville, Texas A&M, LSU, Houston and others.
Shelley is a consensus top-100 recruit who ranks No. 47 in the nation according to the 247sports.com composite rankings. Shelley took his official visit to Arkansas on Saturday for the Razorbacks’ home football game against Kent State.

According to ESPN, Shelley played in 21 games for Houston Hoops and Pro Skills on the Nike EYBL circuit this spring and summer, averaging 12.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists.

This could be the start of a huge fall recruiting swing for the Razorbacks, who are also in contention to land the services of nationally-ranked recruits Annor Boating, Isaiah Elohim, Rakease Passmore and Tre Johnson.
