Rutgers men’s basketball found out what their Big Ten home schedule is going to look like, this as the Scarlet Knights look to bounce back this season and get into the NCAA Tournament.
The conference was an absolute fight this year, with Rutgers missing the NCAA Tournament despite having a winning record in the Big Ten. A major reason for their exclusion was the balance and parity in the Big Ten that led to some bad losses against the conference’s lower-tier opponents.
The NCAA Tournament snub ended back-to-back March Madness trips for Rutgers. They were selected, however, for the NIT.
Here is a look at the Big Ten opponents and where Rutgers men’s basketball will be playing in-conference this year:
Home: Indiana, Northwestern, Penn State
Away: Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota
Home/Away: Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, Purdue, Wisconsin
Rutgers is awaiting word on the future of center Cliff Omoruyi, who declared for the NBA draft but maintains his eligibility if he chooses to return.
