2023 NBA playoffs scores, results, series schedules: Lakers a game away from knocking out Warriors

[ad_1]

Eight teams are left vying for the 2023 NBA title, but that number could drop to six in less than 48 hours. The Lakers withstood some scoring runs by the Warriors on Monday night, but stayed close enough for Lonnie Walker IV to play the role of the hero for host Los Angeles. The Lakers lead that series 3-1 and could eliminate the defending champions in San Francisco on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Jimmy Butler showcase rolled on as the Heat kept the Knicks at bay for most of their Game 4. The scene for Wednesday’s Game 5 will be back in Madison Square Garden, but the best barometer for success in this series is whether Butler plays. Simply put: He plays, Miami wins.

The two other series will resume Tuesday night with two Game 5s, the Celtics hosting the 76ers and the Nuggets hosting the Suns. Both series are tied at two.
