Sixers have met with former Lakers coach Frank Vogel for opening

The Philadelphia 76ers are beginning their interview process of head coaching candidates to find a new head man on the bench. After a third consecutive Round 2 exit, the Sixers moved on from Doc Rivers as they believed it was time for a change.

The Sixers have met with former Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse, a champion in 2019, and they have now met with former Los Angeles Lakers coach Frank Vogel, a champion in 2020.

Vogel is a Wildwood, New Jersey native and he has garnered a 431-389 record during his time as a head coach of the Indiana Pacers, Orlando Magic, and the Lakers.

Vogel has experience coaching star players such as LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Paul George so this would be a nice fit if he were to land with the Sixers. That experience would help coach the likes of Joel Embiid and James Harden, if he remains in Philadelphia.
