Wisconsin’s top 2024 target included in the latest ESPN 100

Wisconsin native Kon Knueppel is shooting up recruiting rankings at a startling pace. The five-star small forward is the No. 21 player in the country according to the 247Sports Composite and No. 13 according to Rivals.

The Milwaukee native is now being pursued by blue bloods including Duke, Gonzaga, UCLA and Virginia. For Greg Gard and his staff, the addition of Knueppel would likely be the biggest recruiting win the program has ever seen. My hope is the presence of top 2024 point guard Daniel Freitag helps to make that a reality.

Whatever you make about the different recruiting services, Knueppel’s rise has been uniform across the industry. SportsCenter NEXT tweeted the latest ESPN 100 yesterday and included at No. 37: the five-star small forward from Milwaukee.
