Chicago Bulls extend a qualifying offer to Coby White

[ad_1]

The Chicago Bulls has extended a qualifying offer to Coby White, making him a restricted free agent.

It has been plenty of speculation that the Bulls would stick with White, especially after news broke that their starting point guard Lonzo Ball would miss all of next season.

The decision to make White a restricted free agent allows the Chicago Bulls to match any offer the former Tar Heel receives, initially playing it safe.

White’s qualifying offer is worth $7,744,600 million. White can also accept this one-year contract offer at any time but it’s not likely he will, seeing that he has a market.

This past season, White averaged 9.7 points on 44% shooting from the field. It was the lowest point average in his four-year playing career, largely contributing to playing a career-low 23.4 minutes per game.

The former Tar Heel will field a fair share of offers, with White being a great fit for numerous teams. However, anything in a realistic ball range you can expect the Bulls to match.
