Could Boston’s Malcolm Brogdon still end up a Los Angeles Clipper?

[ad_1]

Differing accounts of what axed the trade of 2023 Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogdon to the Los Angeles Clippers in the first iteration of the three-team swap that brought big man Kristaps Porzingis to the Boston Celtics have had the reason being everything from a matter of timing to concerning results from a medical evaluation being proffered as the cause of the deal falling apart.

Yet, despite that cloud hanging over Brogdon, the Clippers have reportedly had second thoughts about their second thoughts, with Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer reporting that “re-engaged Boston about acquiring Brogdon in recent days”.

That does not sound like a team spooked by a “poor medical evaluation for Brogdon,” but without access to the specific details in question, the only way to gauge the interest of L.A. will be to see how the market plays out.

Set to kick off at 6 pm ET on Friday, the Clippers have been tied to the Philadelphia 76ers as a potential destination for James Harden via trade.

Should that not pan out for Los Angeles, keep an eye on Brogdon among other starter-caliber floor generals who could indeed be on the move.
