John Bol reopens his recruitment, and USC is paying attention

[ad_1]

Wichita (Kansas) Sunrise Christian High School has a four-star center on USC’s radar. John Bol, a 7-foot-1, 190-pound prospect in the 2024 class, has decommitted from Florida, as noted by our friends at Gators Wire.

The USC target, who is ranked No. 23 overall and No. 3 among centers in his recruiting cycle on the industry-generated 247Sports composite, originally picked the Gators over six other finalist schools: Connecticut, Michigan, Missouri, Texas, USC, and Wake Forest.

Bol also considered forgoing the college route and starting his career with Overtime Elite, a professional basketball league for 16 to 20-year-olds based in Atlanta.

Bol originally came to the St. Louis area from his native South Sudan. Bol could bring major hype and height to the USC basketball program for the 2024 class, if he decides to have a change of heart and become a Trojan.

Wherever Bol ends up, he has the potential to be among the top big men in the country. At 7-foot-1, he has the height to dominate the college game, and many scouts think he’s showing NBA potential.
