The 2023 NBA Summer League is now in the books, and it gave a number of players the opportunity to flash their potential and possibly earn a spot in the big leagues.

The Los Angeles Lakers had a mix of can’t-miss players, prospects that are looking to get some playing time with their big league squad and those who are fighting for a spot somewhere in the league.

In college, Hood-Schifino struggled with his outside shooting. He was somewhat better during summer league play, connecting on 35.0 percent of his 3.5 3-point attempts per game.

However, his free throw shooting is very concerning. He made a solid 77.6 percent of his foul shots in his lone season at Indiana, but in his four games in Las Vegas, he was at a very poor 46.2 percent.

It’s also clear after summer league play that he isn’t really a primary facilitator, although he can set up his teammates very well in certain situations. But one positive is his low turnover rate. He…
