The sticker shock of Jaylen Brown’s historic $304 million supermax contract extension elicited quite a bit of criticism from fans of the Boston Celtics in the days after the Georgia native signed the massive deal. But since then, a number of renowned NBA analysts have come to Brown’s defense, pointing out why the deal makes sense for the Celtics as well as Brown in today’s NBA under the new collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
