USC European tour basketball games will be on NBA TV

[ad_1]

USC basketball received some great news on Thursday. The Trojans, who are likely to be a preseason top-15 team even without Bronny James (who is recovering from an episode of cardiac arrest), certainly hoped that their European tour to Greece and Croatia would be televised. That would give this program more exposure and showcase the USC basketball brand before one of the most anticipated seasons in program history.

These games in Greece and Croatia are not must-win games. They aren’t even “need to win” games. They serve just one purpose: giving everyone a chance to play together so that the coaching staff can better determine lineup combinations for the college basketball season in early November. No one should expect smooth games and crisp execution. This journey is about learning more than winning. However, it forms the first live-game building block for this team as it tries to take USC to a place the Trojans have rarely been: the Final Four.

USC basketball on TV in the second week of August: It’s an indication the program has indeed reached a higher level of visibility and stature. It’s also a chance for Trojan fans to watch live hoops a few weeks before the football team begins its own much-hyped season.

USC plays games on Wednesday, August 9, followed by Friday, Aug. 11 and Sunday, Aug. 13. All three games will be shown on NBA TV and the NBA app. They all start at 9 a.m. Pacific time.

Here are the details of the whole tour. We will cover these games here at Trojans Wire.
