Boston Celtics to play Philadelphia 76ers in home-and-away preseason series in October

The Boston Celtics organization has yet to release their 2023-24 preseason schedule, but we have a good idea about how some of the earliest games on the Celtics’ slate of exhibition contests will start after the Philadelphia 76ers have made public a pair of early-October tilts between the two their Atlantic Division rivals.

Per the Sixers, Boston and Philly will first play a home-and-away series of friendlies on Sunday, Oct. 8 with tipoff set for 6 p.m. ET. The Celtics will then return the favor by making a trip to Pennsylvania on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at The Center, with tipoff for this tilt set at 7 p.m. ET.

At present, there is no timetable for the Celtics to announce the rest of their preseason schedule for their 2023-24 campaign, but it is customary for teams to publish their preseason schedules sometime in the penultimate month of the offseason, Philly being among the earliest in the league to do so this year.
