With 1:55 remaining, Barry connected on a 2-pointer to even the game at 16. He again tied the game at 18 on a one-point field goal before a pair of free throws put the U.S. at game point. With 50 seconds remaining in regulation, Barry connected on a fade-away one-pointer, falling to the ground to clinch the victory.

Barry finished 7-for-14 shooting, including 4-for-7 from two-point range and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. The victory was the first for the USA in five games during the Paris Games, with two games remaining. The top two teams in the pool qualify for the semifinals, and the following four teams qualify for the play-in games. The USA cannot qualify for the top two seeds but remain alive for play-in games.
