The Ohio State basketball nonconference schedule for the 2024-2025 season is now complete. According to an announcement from the OSU Department of Athletics, the Buckeyes will play SEC foe, Auburn in Atlanta on Saturday, December, 14 at State Farm Arena.

The news was shared across multiple outlets and also annoiunced via social media on Monday. For Ohio State, it completes a very competitive nonconference slate. The Buckeyes were already scheduled to Texas in Las Vegas to open up the year, will travel to Texas A&M, have a home game vs. Pitt, and also play against Kentucky in Madison Sqare Garden as a part of the annual CBS Sports Classic.

The Big Ten opponents and remainder of the nonconference slate have already been announced previously.

Auburn is currently enjoying one of the most successful periods in its history under head coach Bruce Pearl. The program has been to six NCAA tournaments in the last six years, won the SEC Tournament last year, and made a Final Four in 2019.

Ohio State and Auburn have met just once according to records that can be found, and it was during a Final Four run by the Buckeyes in the 1999 season when OSU knocked off the No. 1 seeded Tigers 72-64.

No time or network has been set for the game yet, but when it is, we’ll bring it to you.
