Alabama Crimson Tide guard Kris Parker (0) takes a shot during practice for the Final Four at State Farm Stadium on Friday, April 5, 2024.
Kris Parker, a former Alabama Crimson Tide basketball player, announced Tuesday morning that he would be officially transferring to play in the Big East next season, joining the Villanova Wildcats.
Parker, who had previously entered the transfer portal back in April, was the lone Alabama transfer who had yet to announce where he would be playing college basketball in 2024-25.
An athletic wing at 6-foot-9, Parker did not see any playing time with the Crimson Tide during his 2023-24 freshman season, and instead redshirted.
Prior to Alabama however, Parker was considered as a four-star prospect in the 2023 class, ranking No. 99 overall nationally according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Parker was also ranked as the No. 10 player in the state of Florida where he attended Crossroad Academy.
Alabama’s five other offseason transfers, along with their new destinations, are as follows: Rylan Griffen (Kansas Jayhawks), Nick Pringle (South Carolina Gamecocks), Sam Walters (Michigan Wolverines), Mohamed Wague (Oklahoma Sooners), and Davin Cosby (Wake Forest Demon Deacons).
