Florida basketball released its full 2024-25 non-conference schedule on Tuesday, a slate that features up to six potential matchups with power five conference opponents.
The Florida Gators will play seven of their 13 non-conference games at the O’Connell Center, beginning on Nov. 7 against Jacksonville, and five more games at neutral sites. The lone road test of the non-conference schedule will come Nov. 15 at rival Florida State.
Other highlights of the schedule include a Dec. 4 home matchup against Virginia in the ACC-SEC Challenge, a Dec. 14 matchup with Arizona State at the Holiday Hoopsgiving in Atlanta and a meeting with North Carolina on Dec. 17 at the Jumpman Invitational in Charlotte, N.C.
Florida returns three starters, including leading scorer and All-American candidate combo guard Walter Clayton Jr. (17.6 ppg last season) from a team that finished 24-12 and reached the NCAA Tournament under head coach Todd Golden, who is entering his third season.
The Gators also will face two programs led by coaches with former UF ties — Jacksonville (coached by former UF assistant coach Jordan Mincy) and Stetson (coached by former UF assistant Donnie Jones).
