MSU basketball to reportedly play Samford in November

Another non-conference matchup on the Spartans’ 2024-25 schedule has been announced.

Michigan State will reportedly host Samford on November 19 at the Breslin Center. CBS Sports analyst Jon Rothstein reported the schedule update on Wednesday.

Samford was 29-6 last year and reached the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs nearly knocked off Kansas in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2024.

As of right now, this matchup will come on the heels of Michigan State hosting Bowling Green on November 16 and ahead of the Spartans’ trip to the Maui Invitational from November 25 – 27.

Source: Michigan State’s game next season against Samford will be on November 19th in East Lansing.
