Duke basketball recruiting update: 5 targets of Blue Devils for 2025-26 roster

Duke basketball coach Jon Scheyer and his coaching staff will try to keep the momentum going after putting together the top recruiting class ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Before Cooper Flagg, Khaman Maluach, Kon Knueppel, Isaiah Evans, Darren Harris and Patrick Ngongba show what they can do this season for the Blue Devils, Scheyer and his staff will try to nab commitments from players in the 2025 class.

Cameron and Cayden Boozer, along with Koa Peat and Shelton Henderson, are among the players on Duke’s wish list for next season.

Duke basketball schedule

Here’s a recruiting update and look at six of the players in the 2025 class who could be on Duke’s roster ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Cameron Boozer and Cayden Boozer

Twin sons of Duke legend Carlos Boozer, Cameron and Cayden were in Durham the weekend of Aug. 30 to visit with the Blue Devils. The five-star prospects were seen with the current basketball team at Wallace Wade Stadium for Duke vs. Elon, but Miami is also a major player in the race.

Koa Peat

A five-star forward in the 2025 class, Peat has an official visit to Duke scheduled for Sept. 20. Arkansas, Baylor and Arizona are among the other programs pursuing Peat, one of the top big men in the nation. Duke could have a potent frontcourt with Peat and Cameron Boozer patrolling the paint next season.

Shelton Henderson

A four-star wing from Texas, Henderson could be the first player in the 2025 class to commit to the Blue Devils. Recruiting services believe Henderson, who is set to visit Durham on Sept. 27, is a Duke lock. Houston and Texas are projected as the top challengers.

Nate Ament

Ament recently received a visit from Scheyer and the Blue Devils. One of the fastest-rising prospects in the nation, Ament could  be one of the best freshmen forwards in college basketball next season. The Blue Devils have been in the race for the long haul since offering Ament a scholarship in September 2023.
