The Marquette men’s basketball team swept its first two games of the season, though in different fashions and in different home venues.
With their 2-0 start, the Golden Eagles have moved up in both major college basketball polls that were released on Monday.
MU is No. 15 in the USA TODAY coaches poll, up two spots from the preseason rankings. The Golden Eagles are also 15th in the Associated Press rankings after starting the season at No. 18.

Who did Marquette beat last week?
The Golden Eagles opened the season with a breezy 102-62 victory over Stony Brook at Fiserv Forum thanks to 55 combined points from Kam Jones and Chase Ross.
Then MU shifted to the on-campus Al McGuire Center to face George Mason on Friday night, and the Golden Eagles started slow before pulling away for an 82-63 victory that included a fracas in the final minute.
Who does Marquette play this week?
The Golden Eagles face Central Michigan on Monday night at Fiserv Forum.
Then MU gets its first road test of the season at Maryland on Friday night against a Terrapins team that features a stud freshman in 6-foot-10 Derik Queen.
