After carrying a preseason ranking of No. 2 nationally, the Alabama Crimson Tide remained in that spot Monday afternoon in the latest college basketball AP Poll Top 25.
The Crimson Tide once again trailed only the Kansas Jayhawks for the No. 1 spot, while the remainder of the top five was the UConn Huskies at No. 3, Gonzaga Bulldogs at No. 4, and Auburn Tigers at No. 5.
So far this season, Alabama currently sits undefeated at 2-0 overall with a pair of victories at home over UNC Asheville and Arkansas State. Alabama is however set for arguably their toughest test yet later tonight at home when the McNeese Cowboys come to Tuscaloosa.
After the Cowboys, Alabama’s schedule gets significantly tougher with multiple Top 25 matchups to close out the month of November. This includes a trip to No. 13 Purdue, as well as taking on No. 8 Houston and No. 24 Rutgers.
Before they get there however, the Crimson Tide can certainly not overlook their matchup with McNeese on Monday night.
