ACC basketball power rankings

1. Duke

Cooper Flagg has been fantastic, but Kon Knueppel’s early play has many wondering if Jon Scheyer has two or even three top-10 picks on his Blue Devils roster.

2. North Carolina

Even for a program as proud as the Tar Heels, there’s little shame in going into Allen Fieldhouse and walking out with a narrow loss — especially when you fought back from a 20-point hole.

3. Wake Forest

For a program that has narrowly missed out on the NCAA tournament twice in the past three years, the Demon Deacons’ win over an improved Michigan team could be big come March.

4. Pitt

Three games, three double-digit wins. So far, so good for Jeff Capel and the Panthers.

5. Clemson

Ian Schieffelin has been a menace on the boards in the Tigers’ first two games, averaging 11 rebounds per contest.

6. Louisville

A top-15 Tennessee team is a tough draw for a rebuilding program, and perhaps the Vols are just a bad matchup. But a veteran-laden Cardinals team looked uncompetitive in a 22-point loss.

7. Miami

Nijel Pack has looked like one of the conference’s best players in the Hurricanes’ first two games, averaging 19 points and 5.5 assists.

8. Notre Dame

A closer-than-expected win against Buffalo could raise some concerns, but the Fighting Irish have had a nice scoring punch so far, with three players averaging at least 18 points per game.

9. Virginia

Tony Bennett’s gone, but the Cavaliers are still the second-slowest team in Division I, according to KenPom.

10. Syracuse
