Cooper Flagg put on quite the show in his first nationally televised game, giving the entire college basketball world a glimpse into what may be to come this year for Duke basketball.
The preseason Associated Press All-American stuffed the stats sheet Tuesday night with 26 points on 9-of-19 shooting, 12 rebounds and two assists in No. 6 Duke’s 77-72 loss to No. 18 Kentucky in the Champions Classic at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
With the loss, Duke remains in second place for most Champions Classic wins, behind Kansas, who beat Michigan State on Tuesday. The Blue Devils’ Champions Classic record vs. Kentucky fell to 3-2.

Through the first three games of his collegiate career, Flagg is averaging 19 points, 10 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game while shooting 45.5% from the field.
Next up, Flagg and Duke will take on Wofford at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Saturday at noon ET. The Blue Devils will then embark on a challenging two-game stretch that consists of a road trip to No. 8 Arizona next Friday before taking on No. 1 Kansas in the Vegas Showdown on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
