Hubert Davis and North Carolina officially signed their two-man recruiting class on Wednesday during the early signing period. As it stands right now, UNC has just the two commits in the 2025 class but have some other big targets on their board left.
While UNC does not have a five-star commit just yet, both Isaiah Denis and Derek Dixon are four-star recruits that are solid pickups for the Tar Heels and have room to improve. And this week, Denis got his final season of high school basketball off to a good start.
Denis scored 24 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out three assists for Davidson Day in their season-opening win. The performance was impressive as you can see in the link below:
The 6-foot-5, 175-pound combo guard plays at Davidson Day and is the No. 2 player in the state of North Carolina. He had a significant interest from programs but opted to pick North Carolina over Wake Forest, Tennessee, Miami, and Ohio State among others.
With Denis signed, the hope is that he can continue to improve and climb the rankings here in his senior season, giving the Tar Heels a bigger prospect for their class.
