Alabama basketball has hit the floor in Mackey Arena to face its first ranked opponent of the 2024-25 season in Purdue on Friday.
The No. 2 Crimson Tide’s first road game of the year against the No. 12 Boilermakers will see the returning Final Four programs duel to extend their 3-0 starts.
So far, Purdue, who leads the series 6-3, has averaged a 17.6-point margin of victory in its four-game homestand despite losing freshman center Daniel Jacobsen minutes into last Friday’s win over Northern Kentucky, now out for the season with a fractured tibia.
Meanwhile, UA has had to show grit to take down mid-majors Arkansas State and McNeese State in Coleman Coliseum after opening the year with a 110-54 win over UNC-Asheville.
