AUBURN — Auburn basketball will head to Hawaii defending perfection.
The Tigers wrapped up their fourth game of a young season Monday, beating in-state North Alabama 102-69, which sends them into 2024 Maui Invitational play with a 4-0 record.
Monday’s victory was another that came in explosive, but somewhat expected, fashion, as it was Auburn’s third of four wins by 20 or more points. It was also its second win this season by at least 30 points.

He was one of five Tigers in double figures, with Denver Jones (13 points), Chad Baker-Mazara (12), Miles Kelly (12) and Dylan Cardwell (12) all pitching in double-digit point totals.

In 132 career games, that was just Cardwell’s eighth game with at least 10 points.

Auburn has come close on several occasions. It had been within single digits of a 50-point half in four of the six halves it had played coming into Monday night. But its 50-point output in the first half against the Lions finally saw it achieve the mark.
It’s another notch in what’s been an impressive start for the Tigers offensively. Coming into Monday, they were a…
