Drake men’s basketball defeats Miami at Charleston Classic

The Drake men’s basketball team defeated Miami (Fla.) 80-69 on Thursday at the Charleston (S.C.) Classic.

Bennett Stirtz led the Bulldogs (4-0) with 21 points. He added six rebounds and six assists.

Daniel Abreu was next with 18 points. He led Drake with 10 rebounds.

Mitch Mascari added 15 points for the Bulldogs, hitting 3-of-8 shots from 3-point range.

Drake finished 24-of-28 from the free-throw line for an 86% success rate.

The Bulldogs will play a semifinal game Friday against the Oklahoma State-Florida Atlantic winner.
