In a blow for the Dallas Mavericks, star Luka Dončić is going to miss some time. According to Marc Stein of The Stein Line, Dončić has reportedly sustained a wrist injury and will be out for an undetermined amount of time.
There is no information on the nature of Dončić’s injury. He will reportedly be reevaluated in one week, which is the earliest he could return. In the meantime, the 8-7 Mavericks will have to play the Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat, Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks without him.
Dončić, 25, has been playing hurt for the last two weeks. Since Nov. 8, he’s been nursing a left groin strain, which he sustained while facing the Phoenix Suns. Five days later, he banged up his right knee, which has also been bothering him. Despite the injuries beginning to pile up, he’s missed just a single game this season: the Mavs’ win against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 17.
According to ESPN, Dončić has already started rehabbing the injury.
