The Drake men’s basketball team beat Florida Atlantic 75-63 on Friday in the semifinals of the Charleston (S.C.) Classic on Friday.
The Bulldogs improved to 5-0 under first-year coach Ben McCollum and will play Vanderbilt or Seton Hall in Sunday’s 7:30 p.m. CT championship game (ESPN).
Mitch Mascari led the Bulldogs with 22 points. He was 6-of-8 from 3-point range. Bennett Stirtz added 17 points and six assists for Drake. Both Mascari and Stirtz played all 40 minutes.
Isaiah Jackson led Drake with 10 rebounds. The Bulldogs had a 32-23 advantage on the boards.
Tavion Banks was the third Bulldog to score in double figures, finishing with 10 points.
