Kansas State basketball heads to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands on Friday night to face George Washington in the first round of the Paradise Jam at the UVI Sports & Fitness Center.
The Wildcats (3-1) are coming off a 74-56 victory over Mississippi Valley State on Tuesday at Bramlage Coliseum in its last of four home games to open the season. George Washington (4-0) also opened with four straight home games, including an 84-64 decision Monday against New Jersey Institute of Technology.
This is K-State’s third appearance in the Paradise Jam, including the championship in 2018. Wildcats head coach Jerome Tang and assistant Jareem Dowling both grew up in the Virgin Islands.

K-State is led by super-senior forward David N’Guessan with 14.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, followed by Brendan Hausen with 13.8 points on 40% 3-point shooting and Max Jones with a 9.8-point scoring average.
Forwards Darren Buchanan with 17.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game and Rafael Castro with 13.5 points and 9.0 rebounds lead GWU.
