The bond between the Denver Nuggets and Serbia has been further solidified with the hiring of former player Nenad Miljenovic by the franchise.
According to Meridian Sport, Miljenovic, who has recently taken on the position of assistant general manager at Mega, will be teaming up with Nikola Jokic and assistant coach Ognjen Stojakovic in Denver.
During his playing career at Mega, Miljenovic was a teammate of Jokic. He has also played for several Serbian clubs including Partizan, Mega, Radnicki, and OKK Beograd, as well as international stints with Sevilla in Spain, PAOK in Greece, and Olimpija Ljubljana in Slovenia.
Mega, the team owned by Jokic’s agent Misko Raznatovic, has a reputation for developing numerous players who have made their way into the NBA.
Details regarding Miljenovic’s specific responsibilities in his new role have not yet been disclosed.
