In the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season, Nikola Jokic recorded his 23rd triple-double, leading the Denver Nuggets to a 125-113 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans at Ball Arena on Monday.
The Serbian sensation tallied 27 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists in addition to two blocks and one steal during 36 minutes of play.
“He definitely felt it. I don’t think he anticipated it,” Jokic commented on Luka Doncic’s trade from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers. “He probably needs some time with his family right now. It’s a major transition. It’s a business decision, and who knows? I think it caught everyone off guard, especially him. It seems like no one is secure in this league. But I believe he’ll excel. The Portland Trail Blazers edged the Phoenix Suns 121-119 in overtime, with Israeli Deni Avdija pouring in 24 points and Belgian Toumani Camara adding 17 points. The Suns were missing Bosnian Jusuf Nurkic, who did not play at the Moda Center.
Finnish Lauri Markkanen contributed 16 points for the Utah Jazz in a close defeat, falling 112-111 to the Indiana Pacers at Delta Center.
