Coming just one assist away from achieving another triple-double, Serbian star Nikola Jokic contributed significantly to the Denver Nuggets’ 129-115 triumph over the Charlotte Hornets at Ball Arena on Thursday night.

Jokic recorded impressive stats with 29 points, 17 rebounds, nine assists, one block, and one steal, demonstrating his prowess by shooting 11 for 22 from the field, which included six successful three-pointers. His teammate, Jamal Murray, added another 34 points to the scoreboard.

Croatian player Dario Saric did not participate, and Slovenian Vlatko Cancar was also unavailable following knee surgery, as the Nuggets, coached by Michael Malone, faced off against the Hornets.

For the Hornets, Bosnian Jusuf Nurkic started and managed to accumulate nine points, ten rebounds, seven assists, one block, and one steal. Off the bench, French players Moussa Diabate recorded 11 points and six rebounds, while Tidjane Salaun contributed three points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Giannis Antetokounmpo made his return to the court after sitting out six games during the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season and the 2025 All-Star Game due to a left calf strain. He played a crucial role in the Milwaukee Bucks’ 116-110 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers at Fiserv Forum.

After being down by 13 points in the fourth quarter, Antetokounmpo, alongside Damian Lillard, propelled the team to victory. The Greek superstar finished the night with 23 points, including ten in the final 12 minutes of play. He also tallied eight rebounds, four assists, and one block.

On the opposing side, Croatian Ivica Zubac registered a solid double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds, along with four blocks, one assist, and one steal. Serbian player Bogdan Bogdanovic finished with 15 points, five assists, two steals, and two rebounds, while Frenchman Nicolas Batum contributed three points, along with one assist, one steal, and one rebound.
