Luka Doncic Pledges $500,000 to Rebuild Lives and Communities After L.A. Wildfires

L.A. Lakers star Luka Doncic has pledged a donation of $500,000 to support recovery initiatives in the aftermath of the devastating wildfires that struck Southern California in January, including the Los Angeles metro area.

In a statement from the Luka Doncic Foundation, Doncic expressed his feelings about the tragedy:

“It’s truly heartbreaking to see and hear about the devastation caused by the wildfires since my arrival in L.A. I’m shocked and deeply empathize with all the children who have lost their homes, schools, and the places where they used to play with friends.

Today, my foundation is contributing $500,000 to support immediate recovery efforts. I’m also dedicated to aiding the rebuilding of courts, playgrounds, and fields that were lost, as every child deserves a safe space to play.
