With All-Star 2025 in the rearview mirror and two-thirds of the season completed, we are entering the final stretch, beginning Wednesday with a make-up game.
Although the top three teams in the league remain the frontrunners, an unprecedented trade deadline has introduced a level of unpredictability as we emerge from the break. Much of this unpredictability can be observed in the Western Conference, where the fifth-ranked Los Angeles Lakers have acquired Luka Dončić, and the 10th-ranked Golden State Warriors have welcomed Jimmy Butler to their roster.
It may take these new players some time to gel with their respective teams, but now these franchises possess significantly higher potential than they did prior to the trades. Other teams beyond the Lakers and Warriors have also made significant roster changes, meaning there will be numerous new combinations and lineups to closely monitor and assess in the coming weeks.
