In the past, Steph Curry has frequently spoken highly of international players who have left a mark on his career, and Juan Carlos Navarro is among them.
When asked by Toni Canyameras from Mundo Deportivo about Navarro’s influence on the Golden State Warriors star, Curry expressed his admiration. “Every athlete I’ve seen shoot the basketball at an elite level really stands out, with Juan Carlos being particularly exceptional,” he stated.
“Today I hit a one-legged three-pointer, which is something he was known for. I managed to replicate that well tonight, so a shout-out to him. I’ve only met him once, but I’ve watched countless videos and highlights of his play.”
“There are numerous sharpshooters who have inspired me and shaped my style, from my father to Reggie Miller and Steve Nash. Juan Carlos is definitely part of that group. That’s what makes basketball so great: it’s about passing knowledge to the next generation and then having our moments,” Curry added.
This year, Steph Curry once again took part in the NBA All-Star Game, earning MVP honors for his performance.
