Timberwolves Overpower Jokic and Nuggets, Ending Winning Streak with Dominant 133-104 Victory

Rudy Gobert and the Minnesota Timberwolves proved to be too overpowering for the Denver Nuggets and their star Nikola Jokic.

In the second half, Jokic was unable to stem the tide, leading the Timberwolves to end Denver’s four-game winning streak with a convincing 133-104 victory at Target Center.

Jokic concluded the match with 20 points and 11 assists, achieving an impressive shooting percentage of 9/13 from the floor, although he did commit seven turnovers. Jamal Murray contributed 25 points, but he lacked support from the rest of the team, as Aaron Gordon and Russell Westbrook managed only 13 points apiece.

On the other side, Anthony Edwards shined with 34 points and nine assists, hitting 3 of 8 three-point attempts and setting a franchise record for three-pointers made at just 23 years old. Julius Randle added 21 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists to the team’s efforts.

Rudy Gobert wrapped up his performance with a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds, along with five assists. Notably, this marked his fourth consecutive victory over Jokic.
