Ukrainian Center Alex Len Set to Join Indiana Pacers After Waiver from Wizards

Ukrainian center Alex Len seems poised for yet another change of scenery.

As reported by Shams Charania, the 31-year-old from Antratsyt, Ukraine, is anticipated to be waived by the Washington Wizards and will likely join the Indiana Pacers once he clears waivers.

Len joined the Wizards as part of a multi-team trade during the deadline on February 6, but it appears he won’t be sticking around in Washington. He is expected to bolster the Pacers’ frontcourt depth.

Currently in his 12th season in the NBA, Len was selected fifth overall in the 2013 draft by the Phoenix Suns. After five seasons, he transitioned to the Atlanta Hawks, and subsequently played for the Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, and back to the Wizards before rejoining the Kings in 2021.

Throughout his NBA career, he has participated in 680 regular-season games, averaging 6.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest.
