In his fourth match overall, and his second without any limitations on his playing time, Luka Dončić dazzled the Los Angeles Lakers.
He fell just three assists short of achieving a triple-double, displaying his scoring prowess and sporting a grin throughout the contest. During the postgame remarks, he expressed that he is beginning to feel more like his true self once again.
“I’m starting to feel like my old self. Being out there on the court—this is what I adore. Just being me has led to my smiles throughout the game,” Dončić shared in the postgame press conference.
LeBron James also shared his thoughts on his rapport with the Slovenian sensation, referring to him as a “natural-born quarterback.”
“I believe we still have ample potential for growth. This is only my fourth game, so developing chemistry takes time. Today showed that it’s improving, and it will continue to enhance day by day.”
Dončić also considered the past few weeks following his remarkable and surprising trade from Dallas to Los Angeles.
“It was challenging. Different. But I’m just glad to be playing basketball. As I’ve mentioned, each day is a step forward. I’m thrilled to be here. Obviously, these teammates are amazing, and I’m eager for this new adventure,” Dončić wrapped up.
