Rockets Dillon Brooks Faces One-Game Suspension After Surpassing 16 Technical Fouls This Season

NEW YORK – Dillon Brooks, a forward for the Houston Rockets, has been handed a one-game suspension without pay due to accumulating his 16th technical foul of the 2024-25 season, as announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations.

According to NBA regulations, a player or coach is subject to an automatic one-game suspension without pay upon receiving their 16th technical foul in the regular season. Furthermore, for every additional two technical fouls incurred during the same season, an automatic additional game suspension without pay is imposed.

Brooks’ latest technical foul was issued with 7:12 left in the first quarter during the Rockets’ 143-105 win against the Utah Jazz on April 2 at Toyota Center. He will serve his suspension during the upcoming game when the Rockets face the Oklahoma City Thunder at Toyota Center.
