After their defeat against the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Lakers quickly bounced back with a convincing 124-108 win over the New Orleans Pelicans at home.
A significant factor in this victory was Luka Doncic’s performance for JJ Redick’s team. The former Dallas Mavericks star led the way with an impressive 35 points, complemented by 6 assists and 6 rebounds. He achieved a shooting percentage of 4 for 10 from beyond the arc and went a perfect 11 for 11 at the free-throw line. In his post-game remarks, he emphasized the importance of the match, stating, “That was a must-win game; that’s all that matters.”
When asked about Austin Reaves and his performance, Doncic lauded the American guard for his all-around contributions. “He’s doing everything on the court, helping the whole team. He’s been doing that since I arrived, basically,” he noted.
Since his surprising trade to the Los Angeles Lakers from the Dallas Mavericks, Doncic has been averaging an impressive 26.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game.
