On NBA Night, the Golden State Warriors triumphed over the Denver Nuggets with a score of 118-104, thanks to an impressive 36 points from Stephen Curry, including 7 successful three-pointers out of 15 attempts.
Although the Denver team faced a setback on the road, Nikola Jokic showcased his exceptional talent, amassing 33 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists in a valiant effort.
In the post-game press conference, head coach Steve Kerr took a moment to express his admiration for the three-time NBA Regular Season MVP.
“It’s challenging to compare different eras, but in my opinion, he’s the finest center I’ve ever witnessed. I competed against Kareem [Abdul-Jabbar] for a year and saw his brilliance, but Kareem didn’t exhibit the same versatility,” Kerr remarked.
“The context of the eras plays a significant role, and we’re currently witnessing a player who’s accomplishing feats that have never been seen before.”
“His abilities extend far beyond just skill; it’s about his competitiveness and intelligence. He is undoubtedly one of the smartest players in history, and this is evident in numerous ways,” the seasoned coach concluded.
