The Sacramento Kings secured a victory with a score of 127-117 against the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena on Monday.
Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan proved pivotal by scoring a combined total of 80 points, while Lithuanian standout Domantas Sabonis contributed significantly with 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists, achieving his tenth triple-double in the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season. Over the course of 35 minutes, the 28-year-old forward/center converted 7 out of 11 attempts from within the arc and went a perfect 5 for 5 from the free-throw line, also recording one block. His fellow Lithuanian teammate, Jonas Valanciunas, added a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, along with one block and an assist in just 12 minutes.
Despite initially holding an 18-point lead, the Kings found themselves behind throughout the fourth quarter. Dennis Schroder, who was featured as a starter, managed to tally only five points on 1 of 4 shooting over his 32 minutes of play, also contributing three rebounds and two assists. Off the bench, Italian forward Simone Fontecchio recorded just two points, along with two rebounds and one steal in eight minutes of action. Swedish player Bobi Klintman did not see any playing time.
Meanwhile, the Miami Heat, despite missing several key players, including Serbian Nikola Jovic (who is out with a right hand fracture), fought back to defeat the Philadelphia 76ers 117-105 at Kaseya Center. Swedish player Pelle Larsson started and played for 26 minutes, netting 12 points, along with three steals, three rebounds, and two assists. For the Sixers, Turkish player Adem Bona notched a double-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks, while also contributing one assist and one steal, but French player Guerschon Yabusele was absent due to personal matters.
