Promising young talent Ben Saraf has officially announced his intention to enter the 2025 NBA draft.
“This feels like the perfect moment for me,” shared the 19-year-old Israeli combo guard with ESPN while disclosing his decision on Friday. “Having competed at the highest levels of European basketball, I’m eager for the draft, but my primary focus now is to ensure we finish the season strongly with Ulm.”
At ratiopharm Ulm, Saraf has made his mark in the 2024-25 BKT EuroCup, averaging 12.8 points, 4.6 assists, 2.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 0.1 blocks per game over 16 matches, of which ten were starts.
His team is currently concentrating on the easyCredit BBL in Germany, where he contributes 11.8 points, 4.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game. His performance has played a significant role in helping the Sparrows secure a second-place standing at 19-9, just 1.5 games behind first-place FC Bayern Munich, with four regular-season games left to play.
“We’re really coming together in Ulm,” he remarked. “The organization believes in young talent, providing us with an opportunity, and we’re repaying that trust with victories.”
On the international stage, Saraf has also donned the colors of the Israeli senior national team, accumulating four caps during the EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers. His previous FIBA experience includes being voted Most Valuable Player at the U18 EuroBasket 2024 and participating with the U16 team.
The upcoming NBA draft is scheduled to be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on June 25 and 26.
