Following in the footsteps of his Israeli teammate Ben Saraf, French forward Noa Essengue has declared his intention to participate in the 2025 NBA draft.
“Since childhood, it has been my aspiration to be selected by an NBA team,” Essengue shared with ESPN as he revealed his decision.
“My aim now is to become a top-10 pick. While I am concentrating on the conclusion of my season and striving for a championship, I recognize that after the playoffs, I will need to prepare myself, as there is a significant difference between European basketball and the NBA.”
Essengue has long been regarded as one of the European talents expected to enter this year’s draft.
The 18-year-old power forward boasts averages of 10.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.0 steal over 24 minutes per game, having participated in 43 games across both the EuroCup and the German BBL.
