NEW YORK – The Minnesota Timberwolves’ guard Anthony Edwards has been penalized $50,000 for using inappropriate language and displaying an offensive gesture towards a spectator, as announced today by Byron Spruell, the President of League Operations.

This incident took place with 4:33 left in the third quarter during the Timberwolves’ 117-95 win against the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of their first-round playoff matchup on April 19 at Crypto.com Arena.
