Giannis Antetokounmpo Ends Postseason Drought with Dominant 37-Point Game, Leading Bucks to Victory

The lengthy drought has come to an end: after more than 1000 days since Game 5 against the Boston Celtics during the 2022 NBA Playoffs, Giannis Antetokounmpo has finally secured a win in the postseason.

Facing elimination, the Milwaukee Bucks needed a strong response in Game 3 on their home court after losing the first two matches in Indianapolis.

They rose to the challenge, clinching Game 3 with a commanding 117-101 triumph, during which the Greek Freak shone with an outstanding 37-point output over the full 48 minutes. He converted 14 of 19 attempts from the field and went 9 of 10 from the free-throw line, in addition to collecting 12 rebounds and dishing out 6 assists.

Giannis wasn’t the only one to score 37 points against the Pacers that night; Gary Trent Jr. also joined him, hitting 9 of 12 three-point attempts.

This marks the first time in Milwaukee Bucks history that two players have each scored at least 35 points in a single playoff game.

Despite Tyrese Haliburton’s double-double of 14 points and 10 assists, along with Pascal Siakam’s 28-point effort in the loss, the Pacers fell short of a 3-0 lead in the First Round.
