Guerschon Yabusele Sets Sights on NBA Future: I Want to Stay 100% After Euro Journey

Leaving Real Madrid to pursue his dream of returning to the NBA, Guerschon Yabusele is determined to secure his position in the league as he enters free agency.

In a recent interview with Hoopshype, he expressed his commitment, stating, “I’m completely serious about it. I genuinely want to stay in the NBA. Now that I have a real opportunity, I’m eager to accomplish even more here.”

Reflecting on the playoffs, he shared, “Seeing those players enjoying themselves makes me want to be in that environment. My competitive spirit is driving me to put in the work this summer so I can return next season and perform even better,” the French forward remarked.

After an impressive showing at the Olympic Games with the French national team, where he averaged 11.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, he has caught the eye of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Yabusele noted, “We’ll explore our options in the upcoming summer as the situation develops. I know the Sixers are considering making changes to their roster, so it’s a waiting game to see how things unfold.”

He added, “The Draft will really shape the direction for every team regarding trades and other movements. We’ll know more soon, and I’m genuinely excited about it. This will be my first experience truly engaging in free agency, especially in the NBA.”

“I’m thrilled to hear the offers, assess what’s happening, and observe all the movement. There should be a lot of activity across every team this summer, so being part of it is just incredible,” Yabusele concluded.
